ABOUT INTERFRUITS ENTERPRISE
Interfruits is registered under the business act Ghana as farmers and exporters we have our farm situated at Somanya and our out grower farms scattered all over the Brong Ahafo and the Volta regions of Ghana.
We grow mainly mangoes, pineapples, dragon fruits and papaya which we export to other parts of the world such as the Middle East and the gulf area. The demand for our fruits keeps rising due to our consistency in supply of fruits to our clients.
We have been able to achieve this as a result of our compliance with GlobalGap and Plant protection and regulatory services directorate (PPRSD) of the ministry food and agriculture. These governing bodies ensure good agricultural practices before giving us certificates to export.
We undertake soil and water test every year to ascertain the pH level respectively. This enables us to use the right chemicals and fertilizers in its right proportions. Control of diseases and fungal infection is our priority to ensure high yields.
Our operations include the supply of fresh fruits to the fruit processing companies. We are making preparation for expansion of our operations to include Dry fruits and fruit concentrate, this will add value to our products, enabling us to compete on the international market as a major fruit company in Ghana. We intend to extend our operations to other parts of the country and supply the supermarkets with fresh fruits and fruit juice. Dried fruits which are now becoming a delicacy, will also be introduced to all the regions in Ghana.
Training and round table meetings are organized for all our out growers. This has helped in many ways to produced fresh fruits under the GlobalGap and PPRSD. The farm has stands on various trade fairs such as Fruit Logistica in Germany every year. On such platforms, Interfruits is introduced to the whole fruit industry.
We accept orders from all over the world. Due to our exposure to the international fruit market, we are always learning new technologies in mango and pineapple farming. Our future aim is to plant Passion Fruit in large plantations for export since this has a high demand on the world market.
